The best rooftop bars in South London – Summer 2021
There are so many things to do in South London; drinks, food, and art events are always on the menu. These rooftop bars are some of the nicest places to visit this summer.
1. Bar Elba – Waterloo
Waterloo might not be your first option when you are looking for a place to have fun. Elba bar though is one of the most instagrammable cocktail bars in London. Great for brunch and parties; since they offer free venue hire with their party packages.

2. Bussey Rooftop Bar – Peckham
The highest drinking spot in Peckham is located on the top of the Bussey Building and looks like a colourful oasis. Walk-ins are accepted but are subject to availability. Please note that they are currently taking bookings until August 31st and cannot take provisional bookings.

3. Forza Wine – Peckham
Another great option among the rooftop bars in London is this Italian bar famous for its frozen negronis. The atmosphere is laid-back and the terrace offers a beautiful city view. Apart from drinks, they have some tasty tapas-style dishes.

4. Seabird – Southwark
This is a beautiful rooftop seafood restaurant that claims to have London’s longest oyster list. Here you can also find an impressive marble raw bar that offers some very creative cocktails. Lovely venue with great ambiance.

5. London Bridge Rooftop – Southwark
Another rooftop bar with spectacular views located south of the river. Lovely terrace where you can have some cocktails or try some nice street food. From the 17th of July, you can also make a booking for a bottomless brunch.

6. Roof Garden Queen Elizabeth Hall – Southbank
This much-beloved project located on the top of Queen Elizabeth Hall started 10 years ago in partnership with the Eden Project. They have a small menu with everything you need for a city break. * Opens on the 21rst of June.

7. 12th Knot – Southbank
A classy option among South London’s rooftop bars, located on the 12th floor of Sea Containers London. The dress code here is smart/casual and the decor is quite elegant. A DJ or live music always adds to the atmosphere. *Opening TBA.

8. Frank’s Cafe – Peckham
Established in 2009, this spot was initially created as a space to sit and relax in the summer. Today, Bold Tendencies’ first architecture project is an art venue that offers fresh and simple brunch, lunch, and dinner.

9. The Prince of Wales – Brixton
This is a multi-storey pub with a two-tier rooftop terrace. They usually have a DJ set or live music performances. The rooftop beer garden is open Monday-Thursday and they host socially distanced events Friday – Sunday.
